My husband and I must be crazy because we decided to purchase a home remotely from Las Vegas, in a town we'd never even been too. Eris Rule helped us find our new home in a long-distance situation after I accepted a new job in Portland, OR. This was my first home buying experience and she started by giving me about an hour of home buying 101, walking me through all the stages of buying a home. She sent me an updated list of homes on the market each week, drove to all of the locations in both OR and WA I would be interested in, and took videos of the home and the surrounding areas. I was in Missouri the whole time and getting discouraged because I was getting outbid repeatedly. She suggested checking out a new build, which she explained was more of a first-come, first-served situation where there was no chance of being outbid. The whole time she was pregnant! She went to the location of the new build, recorded a video of the model home and the neighborhood, and my son and I picked out our new home!
